The Aviator was an attempt by Lincoln to have their brand associated with aviation and pilots, an association they hadn't had since they discontinued their Continental-United model. Four people purchased the Lincoln Aviator, and 75% of those who did can't remember anything remarkable about it.

My dad got one as a company car a long time ago. Bought it new and it needed a new engine at around 18k miles. Piece of shit.

I always thought this was a dumb name for a SUV. Like calling a car Astronaut or Longshoreman.

The Aviator is to the Navigator what the Tahoe is to the Suburban, right? A smaller box.
